Microsoft beats Apple in terms of customer satisfaction for the tablet devices

Although, Samsung and Apple have topped the list when it comes to smartphone devices. But, the scenario is exactly opposite when it come to the tablet devices. Microsoft has successfully beaten Apple in terms of user satisfaction that it provides for the tablet devices.

According to the latest research conducted by J.D. Power, leader of consumer insights, advisory services and analytics, the users of Microsoft Surface Tablet were more happy with the device compared to the Apple users. The study was done on the basis of five primary factors namely ease of operation, price, features, style, and design of the device.

The study was conducted on 6th April, and it was seen that Microsoft tablets have beaten Apple iPads and even Samsung tabs in the race of being most popular devices among the users.

The results were evaluated out of 1000 points. It was seen that Microsoft Surface tablets have got 855 points, Apple scored 849 points and Samsung occupied the third position with 847 points.

Coming to the features, Microsoft tablet device was mainly popular because of three parameters namely internet connectivity, the wide range of applications and access to Microsoft-supported accessories. The I/O connectivity and large internal storage have also contributed to the success of Microsoft tablet devices. The design aspect of a tablet was also liked by its users. The product quality, size, attractiveness also played a major role in boosting the customer satisfaction.

Other key findings

Also, the study noticed that overall customer satisfaction was increasing day by day in terms of tablet devices. The study that was conducted 6 months earlier have shown that Microsoft tablet devices have got 820 points out of 1000, but the latest study has shown a significant rise of 21 points.

The additional perks like lower price and past experience have contributed to the Microsoft’s share of success. The size of the device was a crucial and most-appreciated factor by the users.
